Philips Avance XL Airfryer – Have a Stress-Free Christmas Party

Christmas is just round the corner, and if the thought of preparing Christmas dinner brings you stress, well, you need not worry, because with the right preparation and a great kitchen appliance, there’s no need to dread the big day!

When I first looked at the word Airfryer, I looked at it as only, well, a fryer, an equipment that uses Rapid Air Technology that allows to fry with up to 80% less oil. But don’t let the word ‘fryer’ in the Philips Avance XL Airfryer deceive you, as it did to me. Besides frying, this handy dandy kitchen appliance is great for roasting, grilling, baking and gratinate too! Here’s a great site to look at what magic the Airfryer can do.

So let me share with you my Christmas meal menu; with some quick planning it will simply be effortless and fast to prepare using the new Philips Avance XL Airfryer.

For starters, replacing all that deep frying by airfrying, I chose an easy to whip up (read: fail-proof!) French Fries with cheese sauce and Salmon & Quinoa patties. Store-bought frozen French fries is a life saver when you need to prepare several dishes for the party, it always never fails! It’s ok to cut yourself some slack sometimes!

The Salmon & Quinoa patties will definitely be a crowd pleaser with a good dose of protein (from the Quinoa) and essential nutrients from the Salmon and salad.

Here comes the mains, I chose something that I know most would enjoy – Roasted Chicken and Tater Tots Casserole.

Achieving a beautifully roasted chicken is made so easy with the Airfryer as its Rapid Air Technology spreads heat evenly which helps yield a nicely roasted surface all over, while maintaining the moisture within making the meat so tender and juicy!

This Tater Tot will appeal not just the adults but the children as well. Gratin and Casserole make a great combination! This was whipped up easily with just mash potatoes shaped into small pillow shape, coat it with some toasted panko, gratinate in the Airfryer and there you have your very own Tater Tots. To bring the dish up a notch just layer the Tater Tots over a casserole and you’ll have an easy meal on its own even if it’s not for the Christmas party!

Casserole consists of stir fried mixed vegetables with chopped onions, shredded cooked chicken breast meat, a can of mushroom soup mixture, top with Tater Tots and baked in the Airfryer for 20 minutes on 180C and it’s done!

Lastly the dessert! How could we not end the party with something sweet? With a little forward planning this dessert can be prepare the day before and kept within air tight container to maintain its freshness.

Soft and fluffy Chiffon cake baked by the Airfryer, well, it’s a piece of cake! With really simple ingredients and rather minimal prep time, this is such an irresistible dessert to have! Using a regular pandan chiffon cake recipe for a 7” round tin, the cake was baked in complete perfection at 150C for just 30 minutes!

So need I say more? A Christmas party meal can so easily be whipped up stress-free! All I needed was just the Philips Avance XL Airfryer!
