Busy Mommies...

Our sewing session started last week where Mommy Evelyn, Mommy Paw Chuen, Mommy Adeline and I went shopping for the necessary materials at Spotlight...

Just to digress a little... I realised that there are many places out there with cheaper sewing supplies... such as the Textile Centre that's along Jalan Sultan and the People's Park at Chinatown... I find that we've been completely reaped off when we bought a metre of fusible interfacing costing $17.95 at Spotlight while it's just $6 per metre at Textile Centre... *fainted over twice* go figure the math...

Yesterday, was our second session at my place... where the mommies were busy tracing the patterns on the fabric... want to make a guess what we are making? *smile*...

Next week we will start sewing... yippee!!! Stay tuned for more updates ;)

oh pauline..i am so excited to see you art sewing..thinking of joining your class but have to make time for it..

mamabliss said...

Hi Joyce, you may bring Cherr along if you want to come for lesson...that's what Adeline did... *smile*... but of course you'd have to run in between watching out for Cherr and sewing... it's really for the fun of sewing something that your little girl can put on or wear...

hey, so sorry again for what happened at your place last week. c still remembered today! when i asked her where we are going today (to the gym actually), she said to auntie pauline's house, to timothy's house and then she said "don't tear paper, auntie pauline's house"...

Hi Pauline, yes spotlight pricing is pretty steep :) even with discount off for certain items, it is still expensive :) are you making a quilt for little missy or Tim.. I can't wait to be more mobile again and start to do all the sewing stuff, cross stitching and other things again .. heheee...

I bought a material meant to sew a dress for myself and little missy but it is still in the cabinet untouch :)

mamabliss said...

Hi Adeline, no worries about the "accident"... I guess I must have traumatised C that day... poor girl... :)

mamabliss said...

Hi Jean, yeah... my mom told me to go Chinatown to get the sewing supplies...they are definitely cheaper... nope dear, we are not sewing quilts... i'll be posting my finished product in the next blog entry...so be sure to look out for it ;)

Perhaps it's time to dig out those fabric and start sewing? hehehe...

hey Pauline,
This is Yee Mun (Baby Sophie) who came to your PG once).
I still cannot figure out what this piece is... have you mommies finished this project already? Hee, I cannot wait to see what it is.
Love your kimono shirt and hat too, and the hairbows! Can I learn from you too? Please?!

I've also recently started a blog to keep in touch with my family... there're some items in there that I sewed too :)

Hi YM, thanks so much for visiting me... the mommies have postponed their class this week so they haven't started sewing yet... the finished project is as you've seen in my recent post on Sew Satisfied... *smile*... yes, they are sewing a hat for their little girls...

yeah, you may come join us on learning how to make hairbows... Mommy Joyce wants to learn as well... I can make arrangements for both of you if you'd like...

Visited your blog...wow... all the sewing projects you've done for Sophie looks so pretty... inspired me to want to sew more for my little missy... *smile*

Ahh.... it's the hat! So lovely! I wanna learn from you too!!!

Yes yes, I'd love to join Mommy Joyce in learning how to make the hair bows.

Thanks for your comments on my projects :) Your creations are pretty and very well-made too. They're partly what inspired me to start a blog. Hee, maybe we can start an Artful Mommys' Hands club soon! :)
