Beach Bums...

Hubby, a beach lover, an avid windsurfer... has always tried to drag me to the beach with him... and me... living by the beach all my life (until I marry hubby)... have always taken the beach for granted...

For the sake of our kids, I've agreed to go to the beach with hubby to have some family fun... it was an impromptu decision... so you can imagine what a hurry we were in while trying to ensure that we've gotten all our beach gears along with us...
Before we settled down at a spot for our picnic, we come across some pine cones and I was just wondering how come the pine cones at our beach is not as big as those I seen in the western countries... hmmm... Tim learned something new as he saw and touched those pinecones...had wanted to pick some for Tim to do art...but have forgotten about it at the end of the day...
It was Tim's first time encountering a mimosa... he was simply fascinated by it... due to the cause and effect reaction when he touched the plant...*sigh of contentment* I simply love the way nature has its ways of teaching the little one new things... great way to observe and discover... very Charlotte Mason's way... *wink*
Tim was enjoying the view of the sea as he eyed the sand for sand play...
He can't wait and abandoned his shoes and went ahead to engage into the sand play...
Look at how focus he was at the sand... ;) he can't have enough of sand play...
Here's Little Missy enjoying her fair share of sand play too... it was her first sand play experience.
Look at how happy Little Missy was... she was so curious about the sand that she puts the spade into her mouth several times *faint* and tasted the sand for several times that morning... wahahaha...
Being adventurous as she has always been... Little Missy decided that she wanted to play with the sea water... she crawled so quickly that we needed to run behind her... while she didn't really mind nor care about the sand that was all over her...
The kids had a chance to play by the shore... and had the waves hitting their legs... Tim being the cautious one... ran away when he saw a big wave coming in... while his sister had so much fun and laughter not realizing the danger teehehe...
Before we left, Tim, being "helpful", gave hubby a helping hand while he was trying to keep the tent... look at what the little chap was doing... *faint*

Am glad both the kiddos had so much fun... and am sure hubby is happier that now he's gotten the children interested in the beach... *smile*

I brought the boys to the beach last week too. I din know that it cost so much cheaper to rent bicycle on a weekday compared to weekends. It was really fun cos the beach wasn't crowded :)
