Artful Lil' Hands - Pizza & Cakes

Today's session was simply FUN FUN FUN... picture this... 11 Mommies and 12 kiddos all house under one roof at my 5-rm HDB apartment... we've indeed stirred up a storm *grin*...

Here's a HUGE thank you to all these mommies and kiddos who have made today's session such a memorable one for me (Mommies' names in alphabetical order) -
Mommy Adeline & Little Caitlin,
Mommy Ai Lei & Little Samuel
Mommy Audrey & Little Valerie
Mommy Evelyn & Little Layla
Mommy Haley & Little Emily
Mommy Jenny & Little Jireh
Mommy Joyce & Little Cherrlyn
Mommy Karen & Little Clariss (sorry hope I've spelt your little missy's name correctly)
Mommy Paw Chuen & Little Heng Yi
Mommy Yee Mun & Little Sophie
Myself with Timothy & Little Missy Joyce

The kids had a short round of drawing session as I prepared for the pizza making... they all had so much fun doodling with different drawing materials...
Mommy Joyce, told the story on "The Giant's Pizza" that ties in with our theme today... something that the kids will be able to associate with when they put their hands on making the pizza themselves...
A glimpse of what the kids were doing while the story was being read to them... teehehe... not all were very focus... that's normal... Tim was no where in sight at all...
Next we adjourn to making the pizzas... the dough was pre-prepared this morning and left to prove before the play group started... and we divided the dough into 60gms each to fit the tart trays where the kids had the opportunity to knead the dough, spread the pizza sauce and add the toppings of their choice...

The only problem was... we couldn't quite recognize our own master pieces after they were all baked wahahaha... anyways, we all ate our share of the pizzas... ;)
Since Little Missy's birthday falls within this week, I decided to do a mini party for her with so many children in the house... that's just perfect to call for a birthday celebration... *grin*
Kids... they simply love the sweetness of the icing... many of them ate just the icing...gosh... I hope the children didn't have a sugar-high after that... ;P cos Tim sure did had a sugar-high in which he refused to nap at his regular hour... *faint*
I am most grateful to all the mommies who have taken the trouble to buy Little Missy gifts... thank you so much for making this day a wonderful one... :)

Hi Fannie, yes dear, I used buttercream for the icing on the cupcakes... it's the easiest by far... only icing sugar and butter... simple ingredients...
