To the Hort Park We Go...

We've been talking about visiting Hort Park for over a month... and we were delighted that the weather was perfect for a fun day outdoors... We haul the kids and our helper and huddle our way to the Hort Park...

I like it that it's 23-hectare large and the place is filled with beautiful and cheery flowers that I can't help but feel happy too... more importantly... Tim was exposed to loads of new learning opportunities and experiences...

The place is so huge, it's great for expending all those boundless energy of a tot... and so we spent an hour walking through almost the entire park... the only down side of the place is... there was really minimal shady area... so we didn't take Little Missy out of the pram and we asked our helper to try to keep her under the shade as much as possible lest she gets a heatstroke...

I've put the pictures of our field trip into montages for your viewing pleasures... :) you may want to pay the beautiful place a visit some day... better to visit early in the morning or perhaps late afternoon when it is cooler...

This is definitely one of the places I gotta bring the boys. I think they will be more interested in the playground than viewing the plants :)

I happened to be teaching Zac abt plants, roots, stem, flowers & fruits recently. It would be a good chance to let him see all these for real :)
