2008 Singapore Homeschool Curriculum Fair

As promised... here are the pictures on the Homeschool Fair... there were more than 100 pictures... I just chose a few "interesting" ones... :)

The fair was a rather successful one... have received several very good feedback that the information shared in all the 7 talks were informative and useful. I love the talks myself (though I wished I could have sat through all of them).

I am already looking forward to next year's fair... *grin*We were there to help out with the set up at 12noon. Noel & Jenny were already there when we arrived... so much to do... everything was done in an orderly & superbly organized manner... thanks to Jenny's well planning. It was a super hot and sunny day...thank God for the good weather!!! :)As the time ticked away... the set up were almost ready before 2pm...most of the exhibitors were already ready with their show & tell wares...By 3pm the crowd came in full force...just look at the crowd!!! :) There were still ample space for everyone to mingle and look around... as the talks were ongoing throughout the afternoon. These are just a handful of the exhibitors... just to name a few... from the Home Library, we have Angie Maniam and her friends... there was also Right To Learn - where Montessori products were being sold...

The exhibits were not restricted to curriculums only... there were also sharing by other homeschoolers on Lapbook, Music, Games, Toys etc... and I exhibited the BFIAR and Winter Promise materials... ;)The main speaker being Mr Steve Demme (founder of Math-U-See), presented 2 talks. While the rest of the speakers touch on Homeschooling in Singapore, Charlotte Mason's Methods, Using Lapbooks, Using Music to teach, and Early Childhood Learning etc...
Some of the fringe activities to keep the little ones excited and interested while the parents busy themselves attending the talks...there were autographs by Mr Demme, games, snacks, sewing activities...

Kudos to Jenny for arranging this... I loved the entire event!!! :)
