Cinnamon Wonder

Recently, I read with great interest a sharing by Mommy-fied in her blog about how cinnamon could help lower ones blood sugar, and have decided to google more about this matter.

Being a Type 2 Diabetic, I'd very much like to take natural remedies to the ailment than being reliant on insulin. For one, I could be spared from the pain of self-administered insulin jabs daily... another is to help save me more $$$ as the medical fees and specialist charges comes with a high price tag.

As it turns out, Cinnamon, is more than just a spice... it is said to have the ability to reduce blood sugar as well as boosting ones energy (just what a tired mama needed). Read about it here and here

There were researches done on this matter but none conclusive to the matter... as such, I'll take baby steps on this as it's advised that one shouldn't stop any current medication neither should one take cinnamon in large quantities without a doctor's close supervision.

I've made myself a cup of cinnamon tea today (using Mommy-fied's said recipe, here's another recipe I've found), it tastes fabulous... I love the aroma that the cinnamon gives. I will continue to drink one cup of cinnamon tea on a daily basis... shall see if this alternative medicine works on me.
