A very busy toddler...

Potty Training in Progress
This week, we started potty training Timothy... after I borrowed a book from the NLB, we followed a few steps that were suggested... first, we let him run loose with no diapers on... *grin* he was a little confused and wondered why was he going around with no diapers and no pants on... it was quite a funny sight... but it's the most convenient way for us to rush him to the toilet without having to fumble with pants/buttons etc...

The result? One accident and Tim did pee into the toilet on one occasion *mama beeming away* I figured, since I'm on maternity leave now, it's the best time for me to start him on potty training... *fingers crossed tight tight* I know this might take months before he could run to the toilet himself independently... will have to work this out patiently now...Exploring all possibilities
Tim is ever curious and ever active at this stage... he'll try anything and everything... even to the point of squeezing himself into the bookshelf... *speechless mama* am completely dumb-founded... see for yourself...hubby asked "what do you expect from a toddler?"... hmmm 'profound' question indeed... teehehehe
Happy Kid
Whatever it is, I'm just happy that Tim is happy... ;) *life is but a bliss*

Hi MB--what made you decide to potty train at this point?

oh hi... we've noticed that he's able to gesture to us when his diaper is wet...and when he's off diaper he was restless when he needs to pee (we've noticed him clutching his crotch)... therefore decided to potty train tim to see if it works...but we are taking it very easy not trying to 'force' him if he's not willing to try.

I'm also thinking of potty training our lil monster. Not sure if he's too young... What book is that btw?

hi etceteramommy... if you noticed your little one showing signs of readiness, you may start... but must take it really slow and not rush... ;)

The book i borrowed from the library is "Practical Parenting - Potty Training" - by Dr Jane Gilbert
