All set for the Terrible 2s???

What has Tim been up to? Just one week, I've noticed a big change in his growth... he's physically bigger, he is exerting more independence in his behaviour... wanting to do everything himself... and refusing to take no for an answer...

He'd go into a fit of temper tantrum when we refuse to give in to his 'whims and fancies'... he'll usually bend backwards and fuss non-stop and sometimes scream & cry all at the same time... wow... he's getting to be quite a handful.

I guess that's part and parcel of growing up... especially when he hasn't been able to articulate what he wants as he's unable to speak very clearly yet.

Above that, we are happy with his growth thus far... he's always surprising us with his development... here are just some of his achievement that I've noticed/observed recently -

1) he's able to focus and pay good attention when we demonstrate to him how to play certain toys or do certain things (eg. feeding himself with a fork),
2) he's beginning his own imaginative play on his own...
3) he's able to tell us that his diaper needs a change when it's full/soiled (hmmm that just might be a signal to me that I should consider toilet training him soon)
4) he'll blow at the food when it's hot before putting it into his mouth (it's hilarious when he does that...)
5) he's trying to make conversation with us (even though we can't understand a single word that he says... teehehe)
6) he's able to place household items/his toys back to its original place when we asked him to
7) he's finally able to articulate words such as Apple (he pronounced as 'pur'), Bear ('ba'), Ball ('bor'), Daddy ('da-di'), Jie jie ('che')... he's still not saying Mummy yet...though I thought he once shouted 'Ma-um' when he needed some attention... not sure if that's counted? hehehe...

Here's a short video of Tim eating grapes... on 'his own'...
