Traumatic Haircut Experience...

*Backdated Post*

As always, every time when it comes to that time of the month for a haircut, both hubby and I get really edgy... not because we are the ones having the haircut but it's Tim...

He HATES having haircuts... and now, he's more aware of what's happening...before even the lady could start cutting his hair, he already knew what is coming...

No amount of distractions could stop his 'symphony'.... *sweat*

Anyone has any idea how to help the little overcome the resentment of haircuts???

hi pauline,

try to give tim his favourite snack or biscuits to keep him busy,
it works everytime for Raph! :)

i don't know if this will work, but it's worth a try!

if he's always glued to a favourite tv cartoon, how about bring a portable dvd player and his favourite tape to the hairdresser? then he'll happily watch it while the hairdresser cuts his hair.

Poor Tim! I got no advise to give cos Warren love getting his hair cut and I cut Trenyce hair :p

Hope Tim will get use to it soon.

This is the sight I worry most but so far never bring Wenzel for hair cut tat often. The last time was at Jr League and the whole experience turned out well.

U may wanna try to tell Tim b4 hand or play cutting hair game at home till he gets over the fear. I always do the same thing Wenz is afraid of at home till she overcome it. :)

aiyoh sooo kelian.... i was fortunate that Dec quite enjoys his haircut, probably because the hairdresser always buy him in with sweets lah mini ice cream cones lah. etc. not a good habit but difficult to turn down their kindness.

thanks to one and all who gave me your suggestions, will note them down and test them on Tim... sigh... it's really quite heart breaking and nerve wrecking to see him cry like this everytime he goes for a haircut...
