ICU Days...

It's indeed quite a traumatic experience when your baby has to be kept in the ICU for 7 days... I had a quick 2secs glimpse of Timothy at birth afterwhich I didn't see him for over 24hrs as he's been kept in the ICU and I was unable to get down of bed after the C-Section op... :(

The paediatrician brought me news of a lung infection my baby has contracted and he needed special care within the ICU for about 5-7 days... a surprise that I find it hard to believe...

Well to look on the brighter side of the situation, it's easier for the doctor to treat Timothy's lung infection when he's out of the womb than to find out about his condition when all's too late... so thank God for His perfect timing!

We were blessed with an extremely dedicated PD - Dr Terence Tan of Kinder's Clinic... who reported Timothy's condition to us on a daily basis and who gave us a lot of assurance that Timothy will be alright after the course of anti-biotics.

The nurses of the Neonatal ICU were very friendly and treated each little patient with loads of tender loving care...

8th January, Timothy, was given a clean bill of health and we were all geared up to bring him home... the nurse even gave him a David Beckham's hairdo... hehehe

We want to give all thanks and praises to our Lord for seeing us through this rough beginning... also a huge thank you to all our friends and loved ones who gave us so much prayer support, encouragement, care & concern during this time... I feel so loved...
